Network of Bank Branches
The Challenge
With this mid-size regional bank, maintenance and energy costs were both on the rise. Air-conditioning schedules were not in use and HVAC setpoints were difficult to manage. Virtually any and all complaints about conditions in a branch resulted in costly service calls.
The WorldSTAT Solution
WorldSTAT was installed by Computrols technicians at over 40 bank branches and tied together with a single graphic workstation located in the corporate office. Even increased mobility was introduced via laptops provided to maintenance personnel for system operations when out of the office. Close coordination between WorldSTAT and bank security paved the way for smooth installations and pre-approval to use the bank's own existing network infrastructure, further reducing installation costs.
The Outcome
Maintenance employees were now able to remotely manage all aspects of the AC system, including temperature setpoints and occupied schedules. Users at the main office were able to receive alarm notifications of any conditions that fell outside of normal parameters--often BEFORE any negative effects were felt at the branch. HVAC equipment is now able to be diagnosed remotely, thereby reducing the number of service calls and gaining the ability to verify unit performance AFTER a service call. WorldSTAT has definitely proven capable of saving energy and thereby reducing expenses, corporate-wide.
